Opportunities for Volunteering

The Getty Center needs volunteers to welcome and help visitors and participate in museum programs. Training is provided and hours are flexible. Weekday shifts are three hours a week and weekend assignments are three hours every other week. Volunteers receive free parking and discounts at the cafe and bookstore. The Volunteer Center of Los Angeles needs volunteers to tutor high school students belonging to the California Conservation Corps in Camarillo. The group also needs help running its library and computer lab.

People also are needed to teach workshops on hobbies weekday evenings to young people at the Children of the Night office in Van Nuys and Juvenile Hall in Sylmar.
