Seat Pagine Gialle, an Internet service provider based in Italy, agreed to buy NetCreations Inc. for about $108.7 million after DoubleClick Inc. dropped out of the bidding for the seller of e-mail marketing services. Seat Pagine will pay $7 a share for New York-based NetCreations, a 4.7% premium over NetCreations’ Friday closing price, a NetCreations spokeswoman said.

* New York-based EarthWeb Inc., a provider of online services to the information technology industry, said it agreed to sell 14 Web sites and 18 e-mail newsletters to Darien, Conn.-based Internet.com Corp., which runs online forums for Internet professionals and users. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. New York-based EarthWeb said it will close facilities in San Francisco, Boston and Boulder, Colo., and fire 100 workers due to the sale.

* Remec Inc., a maker of equipment used in wireless communications networks, agreed to purchase Pacific Microwave Corp., a closely held microwave electronics maker based in the Philippines. Terms of the acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of January, were not disclosed. Pacific Microwave has about 850 employees, Remec said. Shares of San Diego-based Remec rose $1.19 to close at $10.19 on Nasdaq.
