2001 Greater L.A. Auto Show

The show presents more than 1,000 cars and trucks from all the major manufacturers, and more than two dozen production and concept vehicles making their world or North American debuts. Here’s the where, when and what on the show, Jan. 6-14:

Location: Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa St.

Dates and Hours: Weekdays, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturdays,

10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Sundays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Vehicle Debuts: 2002 Acura TL and RL; 2002 BMW M Roadster and Coupe; 2002 Daewoo Leganza; 2001 Honda S2000 hardtop; 2002 Isuzu Axiom; 2001 Kia Rio wagon; 2002 Mazda Protege; 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sports coupe; 2001 Suzuki XL7; 2001 Volksgagen New Beetle Sport, Jetta wagon and Passat sedan and wagon.

Admission: Adults, $8; senior citizens, $5 on weekdays; children 12 and under, free when accompanied by an adult.

Parking: $7 at Convention Center’s South Hall and West Hall; $5 on weekends, with free shuttle, at Grand Avenue parking structure (between Grand and Olive Street, Venice Boulevard and 17th Street); $20 for valet parking (enter off Figueroa Street between Pico and Venice boulevards).

Child Care: Two free child-care centers will be available for ages 3 to 12 for a maximum of two hours Saturday and Sunday.
