From Times Wire Reports

President Clinton lifted his ban on former government employees lobbying federal agencies for five years, saying that President-elect George W. Bush’s administration won’t be giving Democratic employees special access anyway. The president said he put the five-year ban in place in 1993 to keep former employees from using their access to the Democratic administration to lobby for outside interests. The executive order also included a lifetime ban on lobbying for foreign interests.
