* Solo Opera--The acclaimed one-person opera “Ravenshead,” performed by librettist Rinde Eckert, will be staged tonight at UC Santa Barbara’s Campbell Hall. The show is based on the true story of round-the-world solo sailor Donald Crowhurst and includes the Paul Dresher Ensemble Electro-Acoustic Band performing a wide range of ethnic music. * Light Opera--Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera will open Friday with the Broadway hit “Man of La Mancha” at Granada Theatre, 1216 State St., Santa Barbara. George McDaniel will perform the dual role of Don Quixote and his creator, the 17th century Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes. * Theater--Ensemble Theatre will open Friday with Paula Vogel’s “How I Learned To Drive” at Alhecama Theatre, 914 Santa Barbara St., Santa Barbara. The Pulitzer Prize-winning tale travels back and forth between 1965 and 1979 in its portrayal of the complex, unconventional relationship between a girl and her uncle.
