Attack on U.N. Bus in Kosovo Kills 2

A U.N. bus carrying 49 Serbian civilians was hit by a rocket in Kosovo, U.N. officials said. Two people died, and three were injured. The white bus, which bore U.N. markings, was struck while taking Serbs from the city of Kosovska Mitrovica to the village of Banja, said Olivier St. Leger, a press officer for the multinational peacekeeping force in Kosovo. Tensions remain high in Kosovo--a province of Serbia, the dominant Yugoslav republic--where the North Atlantic Treaty Organization intervened last spring to end a Serbian crackdown against ethnic Albanians.
