SAN CLEMENTE
Residents throughout the county may hear explosions or feel rumbling today and Saturday while Marines conduct training exercises at Camp Pendleton. Marines will be training with 500-pound bombs in an impact area on the north end of the base from 1 to 5 p.m. today and 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. The sound of the explosions could carry up to 50 miles away, officials said.
