Lawson’s Shooting Leads No. 4 Tennessee

Kara Lawson set a Tennessee record for three-point baskets in a season and scored 23 points to lead the No. 4 Volunteers to a 78-52 victory over Vanderbilt on Friday night at Knoxville, Tenn.

Lawson made four three-point shots to give her 52 for the season. Tennessee improved to 18-3 overall, 6-1 in the Southeastern Conference. Chantelle Anderson led Vanderbilt (14-8, 2-5) with 17 points.

No. 13 UC Santa Barbara 75, UC Irvine 58--Erin Buescher had 26 points and 13 rebounds as the Gauchos (18-3, 6-0 Big West) won their 14th in a row with a victory over the Anteaters (10-9, 3-4) at Santa Barbara.

No. 16 Old Dominion 72, Virginia Commonwealth 47--Lucienne Berthieu scored 21 points as the Lady Monarchs (15-4, 8-0) extended their Colonial Athletic Assn. winning streak to 91 games with a victory over the Rams (11-10, 5-3) at Richmond, Va.

No. 19 Arizona 73, Oregon 66--Felicity Willis scored 17 of her 19 points in the second half as the Wildcats (17-3, 6-2 Pac-10) defeated the Ducks (14-6, 5-3) at Eugene, Ore.
