Shooter’s Friend Gets 5 Years in Jail

The friend of a teenager who fatally stabbed his mother before killing two students at a Mississippi high school in 1997 was sentenced to five years in prison in Brandon, Miss., for his role in the case, but he could be released on probation in six months. Grant Boyette had been charged with accessory to murder in the Pearl High School killings but pleaded guilty earlier this week to a lesser charge. Luke Woodham, 16, was convicted of murder in 1998 and was sentenced to life in prison.
