ABA Seeks Boost in Minority Law Clerks

The American Bar Assn., meeting in Dallas, unveiled twin strategies for boosting the number of minorities who work as judges’ law clerks. Minorities make up only 15% of judicial law clerks. One initiative aims to coordinate efforts to have each judge hire at least two minority law clerks. The second will arrange for up to six minority students to work for federal judges.
