Evelyn M. Engen; Travel Agency Owner
Evelyn “Lyn” M. Engen, a retired owner of a travel agency, died at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks on Monday. She was 80.
She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in San Pedro, where she grew up and attended school.
Engen moved to Camarillo in the mid-1960s and most recently lived in Thousand Oaks.
Engen opened Adonde Travel in Ventura during the early 1970s and closed it in 1987, when she retired.
Engen loved to read, play bridge and golf. She was a member of the Las Posas Country Club and a past president of the Women’s Architectural League.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donal, their son Robert, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Bros. Valley Oaks Mortuary in Westlake Village.
