Actor Dan Aykroyd and his wife, Donna Dixon, have listed their Hollywood Hills home at $2.45 million.

Aykroyd, 47, was an original member of the “Saturday Night Live” cast, who shared a writing Emmy in 1976-77 for the show. Later a star of “The Blues Brothers” (1980), “Ghostbusters” (1984) and “Driving Miss Daisy” (1989), he co-stars in the recently released movie “Diamonds” with Kirk Douglas.

The Aykroyds have long had a home on the East Coast, where they have been spending more time since his TV series “Soul Man” (1996-97).

Built in the early ‘50s, their six-bedroom, nearly 5,000-square-foot Hollywood house was the home, at various times, of Ringo Starr and Mama Cass. The gated, New England-style estate, on nearly an acre, has a library, master suite with office and gym; six fireplaces, staff quarters, lush lawns and a pool.

Barry Sloane, who specializes in historic and architecturally significant properties at Sotheby’s International Realty, Beverly Hills, has the listing.

Alexandra Wentworth, who appears in the upcoming comedy movie “Live Virgin” with Bob Hoskins and Robert Loggia, has purchased a Tuscan villa-style home on a private knoll in the Hollywood Hills for $1.4 million.

Wentworth, now in her early 30s, went from improv comedy to being a regular in the TV series “In Living Color” (1992-94). She was in the 1997 TV movie “The Love Bug.” Among the movies in which she has appeared are “Jerry Maguire” (1996), “The Real Blonde” (1997), “Trial and Error” (1997) and “Office Space” (1999). She has appeared many times on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” and she wrote “The WASP Cookbook” (Warner Treasures, 1997).

She bought a house that was built in the ‘50s but recently refurbished. It has a master suite with a sitting area plus an office or gym; two additional bedroom suites with baths; maid’s quarters, a step-down family room with a fireplace, and an outside office.

Vida Namouli of Coldwell Banker’s Sunset Strip office had the listing and represented Wentworth in the transaction.

The Kaplans’ new home has six bedrooms in about 5,000 square feet. It also has mountain views, a pool and a spa.
