Acme Reports Loss of $70.8 Million

Acme Communications Inc., a Santa Ana owner and operator of 10 television stations, reported a net loss of $70.8 million, or a pro forma $7.96 a share, last year, which included a $3-million charge related to its initial public offering in September. That compares with a net loss of $21.9 million, or $3.22 a share, for the previous year. Revenue increased 37% to $60 million.
