Casinos

Here is my take on Prop. 1A. Commercials for 1A ask voters to help the Native Americans continue their economic growth, build schools, provide health care, etc. If that is what it takes, why not consider a broad application of the casino program to end welfare all over the state? Pockets-of-poverty locations are pretty well known; why not form casino districts within these poverty areas?

Casinos provide jobs for food preparation, maintenance, technical workers, managers, administration, etc. Casinos should have day-care centers and applicants for welfare assistance should be directed to the nearest casino; take the kids along and report for work. Welfare should be reduced to zero. Why limit the program to Native Americans on tribal lands?
