Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows will star in the play “Love Letters,” at 2 p.m. at the Laurel Theater in Ventura on Sunday.

The play, put on by the Rubicon Theatre Company, chronicles a 50-year friendship from the 1920s through the 1970s.

“One of the interesting things about this is we rotate different pairs of actors each night,” said Karyl Lynn Burns, the executive director of the Rubicon Theatre.
