Perfect Candidate

* I’m impressed that President Reagan’s “kitchen cabinet” has seen fit to endorse me for the presidency, though in spirit form (Commentary, Feb. 14).

They’ve correctly listed my credentials in public life, from the Red Sea, leading the Hollywood contingent in Dr. King’s march on Washington, my 55-year marriage and my activities in the public sector, as well as embodying several great men, including three presidents.

One caveat, though: True, I was Thomas Jefferson, but as to Sally Hemings, I never had sex with that woman!
