The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday honored more than 30 federal, state, county and city employees and private sector groups who assisted in the aftermath of last month’s fatal crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261.

Those presented with resolutions included several Navy officers, the local FBI unit, members of the county sheriff’s, fire and medical examiner’s offices, and city leaders from Port Hueneme.

Nongovernmental groups honored were the Longshoremen & Warehousemen Union Local 46, Salvation Army, General Telephone, Pierce Bros. mortuaries and cemeteries, AT & T Cellular, FOSS Environmental & Infrastructure and the American Red Cross.
