The Cooper Cos. Inc.

The Lake Forest manufacturer of health-care products reported net income of $4.4 million, or 31 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter, 13% higher than the $3.9 million, or 27 cents a share, recorded a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 increased 15% to $40.4 million.
