Views on Long, Morgan

In all the years that Kathy Long worked as my chief of staff she was exceptionally skilled at getting me the information I needed [as a Ventura County supervisor] to make decisions. She would tackle an issue by gathering as much background information as possible, weighing all the options and making informed recommendations. She never tried to tell me what she thought I wanted to hear. She always told me what she believed to be right, and why. I could always count on her to stand for what she believed and to not be swayed by political expediency.

She has continued to exhibit those characteristics as 3rd District Supervisor. I continue to support her because I know I can count on her to represent the district well. On March 7 I will vote to reelect Kathy Long.

Mike Morgan has 20 years of experience as a public official and policy maker. He has been able to maintain his popularity in Camarillo both as a City Council member and mayor. He is also a redevelopment consultant and, with this background, we need him in the Santa Clara Valley.

As a Latina I am very impressed with his strong ties to the Latino community in Camarillo. He helped make Camarillo’s sister city connection with Autlan, Jalisco, Mexico, and continues to be very active in it. With the Santa Clara Valley being a heavily Latino community, I feel that he is better able to represent our whole community and county.
