Bond Issues
In reviewing my copy of the California primary election sample ballot, I see that one-third of the 18 propositions on the ballot are bond issues. If approved, bond issues equate to increased taxes. The political solution to problems is always don’t solve the problem, just throw more money at it.
I now see the Feb. 20 article, “Still Waiting for Prop. BB School Repairs,” which describes funds not spent and funds that are committed grossly mismanaged and vastly overrun.
How in all conscience can one vote new bonds when politicians prove once more how undisciplined and inept they are in spending money they already have?
