It looks like another big year for animation in 2000, as Disney rolls out its long-delayed Dinosaur, a film reportedly costing more than $200 million, while DreamWorks releases its eagerly anticipated film, Chicken Run, marking the feature debut of three-time Oscar winner Nick Park. The year also will feature some big name stars Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach, Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 2, Julia Roberts attempting a more dramatic role in Erin Brockovich, two movies about the planet Mars, Mission to Mars and Red Planet. If that’s not enough, toss in three high-kicking chicks Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liuas Charlie’s Angels and spice the year with a couple of Jim Carrey films Me, Myself and Irene and The Grinch that Stole Christmas.
