Youth Justice

Re “Another Try at Youth Justice Reform,” Dec. 25: How could we have been so stupid all these years, when the answer was right there in front of us? It costs $38,200 a year to send a kid to a CYA facility and only 30 grand to send him to Stanford. We could have been giving all of these young men a Stanford education and saving the taxpayers millions of dollars!
