Dynamic Details to Fire 275 in Colorado

Dynamic Details Inc., a closely held maker of circuit boards, said it will close its manufacturing facilities in Colorado and fire 275 workers to boost profit and streamline management.

Dynamic Details, based in Anaheim, said it will consolidate its pre-production manufacturing operations into its 25-acre campus in Dallas. Workers in Colorado Springs will be retained about two months to help with the transition.

The costs of closing the Colorado facility, losses from abandoned equipment and other expenses will result in a fourth-quarter charge of about $7 million, Dynamic Details said.

The 275 manufacturing and management employees will receive outplacement assistance, including possible employment opportunities at other company locations.
