Lycos Inc. said it bought a 14% stake in Internet Commerce Services Corp. to gain payment processing services to help manage its LycoShop sites. Terms weren’t disclosed. Closely held Icoms, based in Nashua, N.H., will use the sale proceeds for expansion and possible acquisitions. Companies using Icoms’ order management and payment services will have access to Lycos’ 30 million users when they register as LycoShop merchants. Lycos shares rose $5.67 to close at $85.23 on Nasdaq.
