YARC Seeking Interest in Nasdaq-Listed Firm

YARC Systems Corp. in Camarillo is in discussions in an attempt to obtain a controlling interest in a company listed on the Nasdaq national market.

YARC officials said they will not disclose any details to protect the integrity of the negotiations.

If a controlling interest is achieved, YARC will supply its Linux Color Server technology to allow the target company’s products to become more closely integrated with the Internet.

YARC disclosed last month that it had formed an alliance with CTI Imaging Systems to help YARC more effectively pursue certain merger and acquisition targets.

YARC developed its Linux software to integrate printing technologies with the Internet and Internet browsers. Its version of Adobe Systems’ PostScript Printer Description Language is used to transfer images from a computer, over a network such as the Internet, to a printing engine.
