‘Lucks’ Takes the Cake

I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed your recent piece on potluck dining (“Best of Lucks,” Dec. 8). I prepared “The Chocolate Cake” as one of our Christmas desserts and it was a hit! I know that this recipe is destined to become part of our family’s repertoire of favorites. We are Armenian and equally enjoyed the article about Carrie Nahabedian. Though we have dozens of cookbooks on Armenian cuisine, Carrie’s personal secrets to making pilaf sounded intriguing--pilaf is one of those dishes that can never be too perfect! We are so excited that Carrie is now at the Four Seasons; we always love to see an Armenian woman rise to the top of her chosen profession.
