Seal Beach Animal Care Center Foundation members want to assure the public that the shelter takes appropriate measures regarding cat diseases.

Cats that arrive at the center are isolated in a cage until they are tested for feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, then neutered and vaccinated.

As recommended by one of the facility’s veterinarians, cats are isolated for a minimum of 14 days, after which those in good health join other cats. Information: (562) 430-4993.
