* Kellogg Co., the world’s largest cereal company, named Thomas Webb, Ford Motor Co.’s chief financial information officer, as its new financial chief. Webb, 47, fills a spot vacated last March when John Hinton resigned amid a flurry of executive changes.

* Troubled bicycle maker Huffy Corp. named Robert W. Lafferty, chief financial officer of Gencor Industries Inc., as its new financial chief and said it’s completing details of a $175-million loan from new and current lenders.

* Denim producer Guilford Mills Inc. said it will shift dyeing and finishing operations at its Greenberg, N.C., plant to a new plant under construction near Tampico, Mexico, in early 2001. The move will cut more than 200 jobs, 75 of them immediately, the company said.
