Rocker Needs Help? Only in America

What is happening to America? Baseball players are allowed to spit, scratch and cuss to their heart’s delight, but they have, somewhere along the line, lost their First Amendment right to free speech because of an insidious thing called political correctness.

Are we too dumb to see that forcing people into psychiatric counseling because we do not agree with them is exactly what the Soviets did? ‘Sensitivity training” is the first step on the road to thought control. When will disagreement become a crime in America?

If Mr. Rocker were a teacher or a child psychologist, then I might be worried. If he were a politician who purports to represent all the people, then I might be worried. But he isn’t--he’s a baseball player, and an average, run-of-the-mill bigot who doesn’t have the brains to keep his mouth shut. We should pity him perhaps, but I don’t think anyone has the right to fire him.
