Argentine Tourist Bus Crash Kills 42
A bus carrying Argentine tourists crashed into another bus in southern Brazil, killing at least 42 people and injuring 40 more, police said. The early-morning crash occurred on a fog-shrouded mountain highway near Pouso Redondo, 340 miles southwest of Sao Paulo. Forty-one people were killed at the scene, including four children, said Ivan Robson Flores, a federal highway police officer. One passenger died later at a hospital. The bus carrying the tourists was headed for a beach resort when it smashed into the other bus, which was on a regular intercity route, Flores said.
