The City Council tonight will discuss painting parking spaces on San Carlos Drive and other streets around Chapman Park to help accommodate youth sports organizations and residents. Officials are considering painting the spaces on San Carlos Drive and Aquila, Santa Clara and Santa Ysabel avenues. Council members are also expected to discuss eliminating a fourth backstop at the park if the parking proposal fails. The East Fullerton Little League proposed improving a park concession stand at a September council meeting, but residents said improvements to the park would add to traffic congestion and noise. As a result, city officials said they would investigate additional street parking. The council meeting starts at 4 p.m. in Council Chambers, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave. Information: (714) 738-6311.
