PLACENTIA
The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District will hire firm to search for applicants to replace Supt. James O. Fleming, who will retire July 1.
School board members met in closed session Tuesday to discuss the process for selecting a new superintendent and agreed that a search firm would help bring the best-qualified candidates, district spokeswoman Karen Bass said Wednesday.
The school board will interview prospective firms in a special meeting Jan. 29.
