Pilot Injured in Crash of Homebuilt Plane
COMPTON —
A pilot suffered a gashed forehead Friday when his homemade Dragon Fly aircraft clipped a hangar at Compton Airport during takeoff and crashed into several parked police cars, a city official said.
The pilot was not identified. The cause of the accident was under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
