Rapper Q-Tip is doing a guest spot on the debut album from Lucy Pearl, the new trio that features his former A Tribe Called Quest mate Ali Shaheed Muhammad, ex-En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson and Tony Toni Tone singer Raphael Saadiq. The album is due May 16 from Beyond Records. . . .

A rare recording of the five surviving members of the Quarry Men--John Lennon’s first group--singing the Del Vikings’ “Come Go With Me” will be heard at the end of the VH1 movie “Two of Us,” a fictional story of a 1976 meeting between Lennon and Paul McCartney. The song is what Lennon was singing with the group at a 1957 Liverpool church fete when McCartney first saw him. The track was provided by Beatles historian Martin Lewis, who consulted on the film, premiering Feb. 1. . . .

Counting Crows’ Adam Duritz has joined the roster of performers on “The I-10 Chronicles,” an album giving a musical depiction of the interstate that runs from California to Florida. Duritz sings a version of Warren Zevon’s “Carmelita.” Others on the album include Willie Nelson, Joe Ely and Cuban musician Eliades Ochoa, who was part of the Buena Vista Social Club album.
