LAGUNA BEACH
The city recently agreed to spend $99,000 to design and build a radio tower at Moorhead Reservoir that will transmit a countywide public safety radio band.
The $80-million, 800-megahertz communication system will link the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, local police and the public works, lifeguard and fire departments.
The first such system in the county will be unveiled in December.
