IBM Picks Backup Software System by Simi Valley’s NovaStor

A backup software system by NovaStor Corp. in Simi Valley has been chosen by IBM for use in its new Travelstar-E removable hard-drive system.

Designed to work with any fixed or removable disk-based PC system, NovaDisk SE is a “light” version of the award-winning NovaDisk disk backup software, officials said.

The software works with most popular operating systems, including Windows 95, 98 and NT.

NovaDisk offers users support in several languages, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, English and Swedish. All owners of Travelstar-E will be entitled to special pricing to upgrade their copy of NovaDisk SE, NovaStor officials said.

Established in 1987, NovaStor Corp. develops data protection and disaster recovery software for Windows, NT, NetWare and Linux.
