Capistrano Valley Christian 78, Southern California Christian 40--Bethany Thom scored 33 points and teammate Crystal Hickey had 31 for the visiting Eagles (13-5, 6-1). Soraya Esfandiari scored 28 points for SCC (2-9, 0-7).

Connelly 53, Orangewood Academy 22--Jamie Poon had nine points, 14 rebounds and eight steals and Diane Kelly scored 21 points for host Connelly (8-8, 4-3).

In the Empire League:

Century 41, Cypress 25--Ana Villalovos scored 14 points and Adriana Mendez had 12, including eight in the fourth quarter, for visiting Century (18-4, 6-0).

Remy Hitomi scored eight points for Cypress (11-10, 3-3) which scored only 10 points in the second half.

El Dorado 55, Kennedy 32--Melissa Jacob had 15 points and eight assists and Nicole Gerber, Smadar Bezalel and Elaine Mar each scored 10 points for host El Dorado (14-8, 5-1).

Katella 55, Loara 38--Jaye Jefferson scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter and Julie Hoces scored 10 of her 16 in the fourth for host Katella (5-14, 1-5). Sandra Sanchez scored 19 points for Loara (10-11, 1-5).

Liberty Christian 60, Whittier Pioneer 22--Stephanie Wu had 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals for visiting Liberty Christian (14-3, 7-1), which led at halftime, 28-10.

In the Orange League:

No. 3 Brea Olinda 82, Western 15--Chelsea Trotter had 16 points and 13 rebounds and Jill Trader scored 14 points to lead host Brea Olinda (15-5, 5-0).

Savanna 32, Anaheim 25--Reanita Starr scored 24 points, including 18 of her team’s 20 second-half points, for host Savanna (9-10, 1-4).

Newport Harbor 42, Ocean View 29--Evita Castillo had 14 points and 19 rebounds for host Newport Harbor (4-16). Athena Vasquez scored 13 for the Sailors.
