The Santa Ana operator of 39 private colleges in 16 states reported net income of $3.9 million, or 37 cents a share, for its second quarter. The profit was more than double the $1.5 million, or 19 cents a share, earned in the previous year’s second quarter. Revenue rose 28% to $42.2 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31.
