ANAHEIM
Mercy Charities Housing California has decided to withdraw its application to build a 46-unit low-income family housing complex on 1.9 acres west of Lincoln Avenue.
The nonprofit organization made the decision after learning that a zoning law prohibits construction of more than 13 dwelling units per acre.
Representatives from the organization said they are considering building housing for seniors on West Lincoln Avenue and are searching for a new site in Anaheim for low-income family housing. Senior housing is excluded from the zoning law.
