Perceptronics Tallies Loss in 4th Quarter

Perceptronics in Woodland Hills reported a loss of $492,300 for the fourth quarter, which ended March 31, compared with a loss of $18,400 for the same period the previous year. Revenue plunged to $3,000 compared with $747,400. For the year, the company reported a loss of $1.17 million compared with net income of $122,000 for the previous year. Revenue for the year fell to $721,000 from $4.3 million.

The company also announced the award of a $300,000 contract from the Department of Defense for research and development in support of the department’s high-level architecture for distributed simulation. The contract is with the Army’s Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command in Orlando, Fla., and is funded by the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office in Washington, D.C.

Perceptronics develops, produces and markets software and services to enhance Internet-based user interactivity.
