Worry About Fans, Not About Rocker

John Rocker speaks in a manner that isn’t politically correct and we have a field day at his expense. What about the people at Shea Stadium whose hate is such that extra police are needed, beer sales have to be curtailed and worries about his safety are obvious? Personally I would rather have a person speak something than have to worry about people committing violence. Where is the condemnation of these people? There is something seriously wrong here.

Major league baseball continues to show its lack of character and respect for the fan. Reducing the punishment of players and coaches entering the stands is an official act by an organized and legally and ethically responsible entity. Players must never enter the stands under any circumstances. If one or more feel a danger exists, stop the game and call ballpark security. Frank Robinson is a weak and irresponsible man for not resigning after his decision was disrespected and the suspensions modified.
