* Update--The Fusion, which features former Galaxy players Martin Machon and Welton, is coming off a 2-1 home victory over the New England Revolution on Tuesday. The Galaxy’s most recent game was a 1-0 victory Tuesday over the Columbus Crew at the Rose Bowl, which left the Galaxy four points behind the Kansas City Wizards in the Western Division. Mauricio Cienfuegos scored the only goal and is the only Galaxy player to play all 1,965 minutes this season. Starting defenders Greg Vanney and Danny Califf will miss the game because of accumulated yellow cards. The Galaxy won the season’s only previous game between the two teams, 2-0, in Pasadena on April 22 on goals by Vanney and midfielder Danny Pena, who is out for the season after knee surgery. The Galaxy is 8-0-1 this season when scoring first and is 3-4-3 on the road. The Fusion is 5-3-3 at home but has never beaten the Galaxy in Ft. Lauderdale.
