The city’s proposed annexation of 340 acres of Aliso Viejo may kill the planned community’s chances of becoming a city next year, according to cityhood advocates in Aliso Viejo.
Cynthia Pickett, the treasurer of the Aliso Viejo’s Cityhood 2000 Committee, said the long-awaited county fiscal analysis of the community proves that the proposed city would be financially strong, but only with its borders intact.
“Annexation does not work for Aliso Viejo. Period,” said Committee Treasurer Cynthia Pickett.
