Andrew Butterbrodt has been tapped as president and chief operating officer of Starving Students Inc., the Los Angeles-based moving and storage company. Butterbrodt is a former Global Van Lines executive and most recently served as president.

People in Business--The name of U.S. Trust Co., a New York-based investment management company, was incorrect in Wednesday’s People in Business column.

Artisan Home Entertainment has named marketing veteran Hosea Belcher senior vice president, marketing. Previously, he was vice president of marketing for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. Los Angeles-based Artisan distributes video products.

R. Jeffrey Taylor has been named chief operating officer of IPC, a North Hollywood-based hospital-care consultancy. Taylor is a former executive with Atlanta-based Mariner Post-Acute Network.

* Investment manager U.S. Bank has promoted Paul E. Miller to senior vice president of its Los Angeles office. The New York bank also named Suzanne Nuzzi, a former Z.B. Industries Inc. executive, vice president and chief financial officer responsible for the West Coast region.

Former Nike Inc. General Manager Philip Shaw has joined Walt Disney Co.’s Disney Consumer Products division in the newly created position of senior vice president, marketing, worldwide. He will be responsible for planning and implementing marketing efforts around the world for all business units within the consumer products division: toys, apparel, hardlines, interactive, collectibles and the Disney Store.

Thomas A. Heymann has been named managing director of Digital Coast Ventures Corp., a technology venture-capital firm that recently formed a $34-million fund to invest in Southern California start-ups. He was formerly chairman and CEO of GT Interactive Software in New York.

* Stayhealthy Inc., a Monrovia-based health and fitness-related online company, has promoted Jonathan Bogner to executive vice president of corporate development in charge strategic planning and fund-raising. He will continue to oversee the company’s marketing and business development.

GoTo.com, a Pasadena-based company that provides e-commerce services to Web site partners, has appointed Nick Hynes managing director and Judith Lacey marketing director of its British subsidiary, which will launch this year and will focus on the European market. Hynes is a former British Airways executive and Lacey previously was director, international marketing, at Nasdaq International.
