Sean Casey went four for five with a homer and four runs batted in and Pete Harnisch pitched a five-hitter as the Cincinnati Reds beat the slumping Colorado Rockies, 9-2, Friday night.

The Rockies, seeking to get well at home after a miserable trip before the All-Star break, lost their ninth in a row and fell to 28-11 at Coors Field.

Two weeks removed from the disabled list, Harnisch (2-5) held Colorado hitless until Jeffrey Hammonds singled to center in the fifth. He later scored on a grounder by pinch-hitter Angel Echevarria, but it was 5-1 at that point.

Larry Walker had the second hit against Harnisch, a solo homer in the eighth. Brent Mayne and Neifi Perez had two-out singles before Brian Hunter walked to load the bases in the ninth. Harnisch struck out Tom Goodwin to end the game.

Harnisch pitched efficiently while his offense roughed up Colorado starter Rolando Arrojo (5-7).
