Dante Washington and Jason Farrell scored off corner kicks as the Columbus Crew knocked off the Kansas City Wizards, 2-0, Saturday before 18,004 at Columbus, Ohio.

Washington scored his team-leading 14th goal in the 54th minute, heading Robert Warzycha’s pass to the right of goalkeeper Tony Meola.

In the 62nd minute, Warzycha sent a corner kick into the box and Farrell, running toward the ball, headed it past Meola.

The Wizards (11-4-5) managed only three shots on Columbus goalkeeper Mark Dougherty. The Crew (9-10-4) had seven shots on goal.

Colorado 2, San Jose 1--Junior Agogo scored his second goal of the game with less than two minutes left to give the Rapids (10-10-2) a victory over the Earthquakes (5-9-8) before 10,131 at San Jose.

Agogo, who ended a six-game goal drought in the sixth minute, beat San Jose goalkeeper Joe Cannon off a crossing pass from Anders Limpar. Agogo leads the Rapids with nine goals.

Dario Brose scored for San Jose (5-9-8) in the 63rd minute.

New York-New Jersey 2, New England 0--Alex Comas and Petter Villegas scored goals as the MetroStars (12-7-2) won in front of 16,838 at Foxboro, Mass.

It was the MetroStars’ fourth consecutive victory and fifth in a row on the road.

The Revolution (7-9-5) is 0-5-1 in its last six.

Comas scored on a header less than three minutes into the match, and the MetroStars made it 2-0 in the 61st minute on Villegas’ goal off a pass from Adolfo Valencia.

MetroStar goalkeeper Mike Ammann made five saves for his third shutout of the season.

Tampa Bay 0, Chicago 0--Fire goalkeeper Zach Thornton made a diving save in the 93rd minute to preserve the scoreless tie before 14,157 at Chicago.

Dallas 3, Miami 0--Ariel Graziano scored twice in the first half as the Burn beat the Fusion in front of 6,387 for its first road victory of the season. Dallas is 9-11-3 and 1-9-2 on the road. Miami is 7-10-4.
