The city’s five newly appointed planning commissioners took their first action last week and unanimously selected Jack Leonard to serve as chairman of the commission and Anthony Beall as vice chairman.
City Council members last month selected Leonard, Beall, Beverly Curtin, Jay Jamshasb and Mark McQuaid to take over duties previously handled by the council as the city’s planning agency.
The commission also adopted a resolution establishing the time and location for its regular meetings. The board will meet at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the Community Room at Rancho Santa Margarita Library.
