The Saint Joseph Catholic Church is in the midst of a multiyear program to retrofit, renovate and replace facilities in the parish complex.
As a part of this project, the church just received authorization from the Planning Commission to demolish its ministry center, a two-story building that was built during the 1960s as a convent for the nuns who operated the church’s school.
The demolition will make way for additional parking lots, and the offices will be moved to a new parish center to be built on the church’s North Bradford Avenue property.
