Esiason Still Keeps His Mondays Filled

Share

Boomer Esiason is back on “Monday Night Football.”

Radio, that is.

Esiason, fired by ABC in March after two years on the television version of “Monday Night Football,” will join play-by-play announcer Howard David and commentator Matt Millen on the “Monday Night” radio broadcasts that begin with the season opener Sept. 4--Denver at St. Louis.

Joel Hollander, the president of CBS Radio Sports, a division of Westwood One, made the announcement Monday.

“We began talking with Boomer almost immediately,” Hollander said. “We think we now have the best possible combination.”
