The City Council approved an amendment to the city’s revenue-neutrality agreement with the county last week, which will save the city hundreds of thousands of dollars this year for maintenance of city streets and traffic signals.
The amendment eliminates a $408,000 payment that the city would have been obligated to make to the county for interim maintenance services.
Under the amended agreement, the city may spend up to $831,000 of county funds on road maintenance before being required to make any payment to the county.
